New Delhi [India], February 1: Bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur continued his stellar form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, playing a crucial role in Mumbai’s emphatic victory by an innings and 456 runs against Meghalaya at home on Saturday.

Thakur was named Player of the Match for his exceptional all-round performance, claiming four-wicket hauls in both innings and scoring a crucial 84 in the first innings. Across seven matches, he has taken 24 wickets at an average of 23.95, with best figures of 4/43. With the bat, he has amassed 381 runs in eight innings at an impressive average of 47.62, boasting a strike rate of 101.87, a century, and three fifties. His highest score remains 119.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Mumbai bowled out Meghalaya for just 86 runs, with Thakur leading the attack with figures of 4/43, including a hat-trick. Mohit Avasthi also made a strong impact, picking up 3/27.
